“To wake up each morning is a great miracle.” ― Lailah Gifty Akita
Have you ever experienced a miracle in your life ?
Have you experienced a miracle in your life this very day ?
How many miracles have you missed in your life because you have been too tired, too busy and too distracted each and every day?
It has been noted in history that miracles existed from the beginning of time.
We have read about Jesus having performed many miracles, from changing the water to wine for the celebration of a marriage to increasing the amount of food from the sparse amount his disciples already had and healing the sick.
Miracles don’t always come in a Biblical proportion in the form of burning bushes and parting of seas followed by bolts of lightning.
Some people consider a miracle to be simply an unexpected event or a wonderful surprise and for others, however for some people a miracle is the belief that their God has intervened supernaturally in their lives.
Sometimes people look for some kind of miracle when their life is in a fix while others may pray for a miracle when a loved one is seriously ill or when they face a life threatening challenge.
Miracles occur every day in your life from ordinary things like birds singing, or the squirrels running along the fence or the sun shining.
The human body is a multiplicity of miracles as you have eyes that see thousands of colours and shapes, ears that hear from the smallest pin drop to the loudest bang.
In reality, everything around us is a miracle if only you can learn to see and recognize these miracles.
Anyone can notice these miracles if they shine their attention on them.
If you live in awareness, it is easy to see miracles everywhere but when you are tired and feel discouraged by life’s daily struggles, you may not notice these miracles, but they are always there.
It’s so easy to go through life and to not appreciate all of the beauty and miracles that we see every day.
Life happens and you will always get caught up in the drama of life.
You will never be able to control indirect or external situations in your life and you will never be able to control other peoples actions or thoughts.
People and situations might not be all you thought or expected them to be and its then you have put an expectation on them, not an appreciation of them.
Appreciating and being grateful for the good things in your life can change your life in amazing ways.
Appreciation makes you do things, not for what you’ll get out of it, but to bring more energy of love into your world and then, when you least expect it, that same energy will return to you.
Take five minutes at the end of every day and give thanks to whoever or whatever you believe in for at least three things in your life today.
If you will learn how to show appreciation for the feelings you will get from taking that action and not for what you can get out of it you will get something wonderful from it.
Every morning you awake you have a choice, you can either choose to see the miracles in your life or you can choose to carry on as you are and wonder why everything stays the same.
Don’t wait for tomorrow, or for something to change, or for something or someone better, be grateful for what is in your life right now, this very moment.
Appreciate the good that already exists in your life and anticipate the miracles and magic that is to come.
Being grateful for what’s in your life doesn’t mean you can’t reach for the stars or your dreams just don’t overlook the gifts and blessings that are already there, and they are there.
These things are your miracles.
Life is our greatest miracle and gift and even more reason for you to appreciate it every day.
Every morning you awake is the first day of the rest of your life.
That is your miracle
