“Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.” – Will Rogers
How do you measure happiness? Is happiness something you chase?
How do you know if you’re really becoming the person you always dreamed you would be or just pretending to for the sake of it ?
Everyone knows that true, genuine happiness comes from within, yet many people search for it as if they’re on an Easter egg hunt, expecting to find it hidden in a corner.
We all deserve happiness, but it’s not always possible and chasing after happiness like some ultimate goal and then having it constantly elude you can be downright demoralizing.
We are responsible for our own happiness and it’s nobody else’s job to make us happy or create the life we want for us.
There’s nobody else we can blame, not our parents, not society and it’s our own responsibility to make sure that our life is worth living.
It’s our responsibility to take care of our happiness.
Happiness is always there with us in the moment and we just have to make the shift and choose to see it.
we have a preconceived idea that we can achieve happiness by maximizing pleasure however, the truth is very different as pleasure alone cannot not make us happy.
Most of us are starting to realise instinctively that richer people are not necessarily happier people and having more stuff does not make you a happier person.
Too many people go through life quietly enduring things that make them unhappy.
For some, it is hard to accept being deserving of happiness for example deserving of a good man or woman in life or deserving of actually being treated with love and respect.
Wither you feel that you deserve to be happy or not, being unhappy won’t help either. Rather than resolving the existing problems, it will only add to the suffering.
When we begin to have these thoughts of not believing in the fact that we do deserve the good things in life then we have to step back and put things in perspective.
We have to look in the mirror and the person whom we have worked so hard to become, and understand that we do deserve happiness.
Everybody deserves to be happy in their life.
Happiness should be a standard that life decisions are measured against, and any decision that undermines your happiness should be regarded as a poor one.
We are experiencing a gradual but marked shift in attitudes to happiness, all over the world.
There is a beautiful life of simplicity calling out to those who will listen and it invites us to live the life we were born to live.
Simplicity invites us to pursue the things we value most, not the values of advertisements on television and magazines.
Simplicity is probably the most important part of life balance.
Life is a process of constant change, so much so that we usually don’t notice the transformations happening in real time.
One day we look up and notice the kids are bigger, our spouses are older and our bodies are different from what we remember, it is simply called LIFE
It is essential to the balance of your life as there is no Yin without Yang and no darkness without light and the balancing act goes on all through life.
Nobody is invincible and everybody is just trying to get through life the best they can, to learn life’s lessons along the way and to grow and improve.
Almost everybody has fought some emotional battles in their life and deserve the reward of happiness however many people live in the past or in anticipation of the next moment rather than finding joy in what they are doing in the present moment.
By choosing to live in the past or the future it not only robs you of your enjoyment of today, it robs you of truly living and robs you of that happiness you so desire in your life, no matter how good or bad you have it, wake up each day thankful for your life.
Instead of thinking about what you are missing, try thinking about what you have that everyone else is missing.
When you stop chasing the world’s definition of happiness, you begin to recognize the decision to experience happiness has been right in front of you all along.
