You can tell when something’s not moving forward anymore. When the doubts you have about it don’t go away :- Jeffrey Eugenides
At one point or another, we all question whether or not we are doing enough, making enough money, or if we are going to be successful, which in turn leads us to then spend so much time in a state of fear and self doubt.
At one point or another in our life, we will all find ourselves experiencing some sort of self-doubt; it’s part of being human and everyone has doubts about themselves.
Sometimes things happen in our lives, it may be one big catastrophe or a line of smaller things that pile up and you start having a lot of doubts.
Some people work or have worked sixty, seventy, even eighty hours a week in a corporate setting climbing the proverbial ladder and in their minds believe that is or was success, even though it wasn’t what they truly wanted or set out to do.
Some people hold onto dead end jobs, toxic relationships, and draining friendships because they believe that if they left them, they would be a quitter.
Self-doubt can hurt you both personally and professionally, making you may feel inadequate, overwhelmed, and insecure when it creeps in.
Research has shown that self doubt handled correctly can actually offer opportunities for personal growth, change, and improved confidence.
Every obstacle, setback, or failure offers you a new chance to believe in yourself instead of falling into doubt and fear.
The problem arises when we equate doubt with instinct instead of with fear.
Worry, doubts and fears are all based on things that have not happened….and not what you need to do right now.
It is so ok to have doubts, to wonder about where you stand and doubt does not always mean don’t, as doubt can also mean slow down and listen to something important that’s trying to get your attention.
Every day, many people give up on their dreams due to doubts and it doesn’t have to be that way.
It’s what you do when fear and doubt sets in that makes all the difference in the world.
Doubts are just an inevitable part of life and the important thing is that we act in spite of them.
No one can let YOU down more than YOU can and the bottom line is that it is your own personal battle.
When you pave your way forward on your own path in life, you will often be judged by others and it all starts with the thoughts that occupy your mind and this creates more doubt.
While It’s impossible to live up to everyone’s expectations there will always be people , that no matter what you say or how you treat them will judge you anyway and once you learn and realise that although you will never be able to stop people from judging you, you can stop it from affecting you
If you worry about what other people think of you, your life becomes about their opinion and you will not only continue to hold you back from doing something potentially huge for yourself,
you will never be totally in control of your life.
This creates tremendous stress and will impact your relationships, your health, and your peace of mind, but If you stay true to your own values and do your own thing, you will not need to be concerned with the few people who just don’t seem to get you.
Fear and doubt are the two most toxic things that can occupy your mind and once you take notice that they are just thoughts, then change your thoughts don’t believe in them.
The minute doubt enters your mind about anything, go out and do something that puts you out of your comfort zone.
Listen to what the important people in your life think, but only those whose opinions you value. Strangers should not get a vote in how you live your life.
We just need to take life one moment at a time and try to help and encourage those we meet along the way.
Stress, doubt and worry are wasted and useless energies and it’s time to get rid of them.
